Hi All

I am the new Students Union President of DkIT for the upcoming Academic Year.

I had been a student in DKIT for 4 years. I graduated from Music and Audio Production in November 24′ and held roles as Vice President for Student Engagement and Vice President for Welfare and Equality prior to being elected to Student Union President for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027.

I hope to put my experience and knowledge from my previous roles in the Student Union and also my time as a student, to good use to ensure I put the students best interests at the forefront of my Presidential tenure.  I look forward to representing all students and am enthusiastic and passionate about making the student experience enjoyable and memorable for both new and returning students.

My goal for this year is to make sure the students needs are met and to be the link between the student body and academic and supporting staff, helping each and every student to unlock their potential both academically and socially. Therefore ensuring their DkIT journey is fulfilled and exceeds their expectations!

Representation is a key priority in my role this year.

Getting the Balance Right

Life here in DkIT is all about getting the balance right. You’re here first and foremost to get a top-class education. At the same time, why not get involved in everything our college has to offer. Get involved in a society (maybe even hold a committee position), become a Class Rep and check out all the Sports and Society Office has to offers.

Enjoy the social side of college which is important too. Make the most of your time here, it flies! Remember though, last-minute cramming the night before an exam never works, trust us we’ve tried it! Keeping on top of things is a skill that will serve you well here.
